COVID-19 Protocol

COVID-19 Patient Forms

Updated COVID-19 Protocol

We want to assure you of the measures we take to maintain a clean and safe environment so you can continue to receive needed dental care without fear or concern. We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation and all CDC guidelines very closely. Our team has had additional training to ensure our processes meet or exceed sanitation and sterilization standards of care, and we have elevated our infection control procedures in response to this time of global concern.

You can visit our practice with confidence, knowing we are taking additional measures to provide for the safety of our patients and our team:

Elevated infection control standards include the thorough sterilization and disinfection of treatment rooms and instruments between each patient.

Preemptive patient screening: appointment rescheduling for any patient experiencing symptoms of an illness; in-office patient screening for symptoms prior to receiving treatment.

Continued adherence to standard sterile healthcare environment protocols including hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment PPE (e.g. gloves, masks, eyewear), respiratory hygiene/cough etiquette, sharps safety, safe injection practices (when applicable), sterile instruments and devices, and clean and disinfected environmental surfaces and common areas.

Installation of hand sanitizing stations and frequent cleaning of high-touch common areas.

We have implemented additional protocols to help reduce risks of exposure:

-COVID-19 screening questions and temperature checks (with no touch forehead thermometer) for patients and employees. If we are sick we will not come to work. If you are sick or suspect you are sick please let us know.

– Anyone that enters the office will need to come in with their mouth and nose properly covered as per Governor Baker’s order.

– With Infection control and social-distancing protocols a top priority, we have significantly reduced the number of patients seen each day and have increased the time allotted for each patient.

-To avoid exposure in the waiting room, we ask that when you arrive at our office, please call us from your car and remain there.  We will text or call you as to when to come into the office, so you can be taken directly into a treatment room.

-No other family members/companions will be permitted in the office with the patient. The only exceptions are the very young, elderly, and special needs patients that cannot be unaccompanied. Only one person may accompany the patient. Companions will be screened for COVID-19 and no-touch temperature reading taken.

-Please print and complete the screening and consent for treatment forms from the website. When you enter the office, please have any papers, copay, insurance card, and ID ready to give to the front desk.

– As much as possible, we will inform you prior to the appointment if any payment/co-pay is due the day of the appointment.

We value your trust in us.

We understand your decision to visit us is personal and many factors are involved. Please know that we remain committed to the importance of your dental healthcare, comfort, and safety. We will continue to monitor coronavirus (COVID-19) updates and will communicate further based on the expert advice of government departments, public health authorities, and healthcare professionals.

We promise to keep you updated through this dynamic situation, and we look forward to making you smile!
